Boys & Girls—1st-6th Grade
Is your child a football player but does not want to participate in contact sports? Flag Football is for all boys and girls going into 1st-6th grade in the fall. That’s right; we now welcome 4th, 5th and 6th graders to register in our Youth Flag Football program! This is a great way to learn the fundamentals of football, without tackling, and prepare your child for YMCA or Middle School Youth Contact Football.
Tuesday, September 5th at 7 pm at the YMCA
Monday-Thursday, August 21st-24th from 6-7 pm in the West Gym of the YMCA. All players must attend one day of evaluations and be registered prior to evaluations.
Begins: Sunday, September 10th Ends: Sunday, October 15th
Mondays, 1 hour long; practice times range from 6-8 pm (depending on the number of teams)
Sundays, 45 minutes long; game times range from 12-6 pm (depending on the number of teams)
First Game: September 25th, Last Game: October 15th.

Y youth sports wouldn’t be possible without dedication from volunteer coaches. Help us continue to run programs by offering to coach. Head coach’s child plays for free! Times and days are subject to change depending on the number of participants.
Youth Contact Football
Last year we had over 400 kids in our 12th year of Youth Football!! Kids play in full pads and get to keep their jersey, with their name on the back, after the season!
You must come to one of the registration days listed below:
Norfolk Registration Dates:
May 8th - 3rd Grade
May 9th - 4th Grade
May 10th - 5th Grade
May 11th - 6th Grade
If you cannot make the day designated for your grade, you must come another day to get registered; we set this up to spread everyone out.
Registration time is from 5-8 pm in the West Gym at the Norfolk Family YMCA.
*You do not have to be there at 5pm, we like the crowds spread out. *You must bring your child wearing tennis shoes with you for registration, they get evaluated. We will evaluate Nebraska Agility, 40 yd. dash, QB throw, Receiver catch and Sled Aggressiveness on the fields behind (south side) of the YMCA (weather permitting).*
Equipment Checkout: August 14th, 15th, 16th, and 17th
At the Football Shed located North on Riverside Ave. and East of the former Nucor Detailing Center and old Vishay Dale’s Building (Turn east at south entrance-look for sign). You will see a light yellow shed sitting off by itself to the east. We are using the same location as last year’s equipment check-out.
Equipment Check-in: TBA
Equipment check-in will be at the same location as the equipment check-out.

Members $90, Non-Members $140
Members & Non-Members $150; (Refunded when all equipment is returned as instructed. A portion of your deposit will be withheld if equipment is not returned during available equipment check-in times.)

Due to the complexity of registration and the need for many volunteers, late registrations include a $15 late fee. Late registration fee begins May 12th.
